Get to Know Your Community Foundation
We are Community Builders. We work with donors, both businesses and individuals, who make contributions to the causes they care most about. We deploy capital by providing grants to support nonprofits, charitable activities, and scholarships in the community. And, we serve as a collaborator and connector to help address pressing community priorities, such as health, education, and housing.
The trust so many have in the Community Foundation is evident in the generosity of community donors and the continual growth of our assets as we surpassed $60 million in 2021. These assets serve to help our community thrive and grow today, and for many years in the future.
Established in 1999, the Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine was among the first 100 to be confirmed in compliance with National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations. Today there are about 500 accredited community foundations in the United States. Our programs and services touch hundreds of charities and thousands of Muscatine County residents each year.
