Create a Fund
Ensure Vital Services
Muscatine County depends on the services of important nonprofit organizations to address critical needs in our communities and enhance the quality of life for all residents. Community-minded individuals may donate to any number of charities that have funds within the Community Foundation or create a fund designated for the public charity or governmental unit of your choice. Additionally, nonprofit organizations may set up an organization or agency fund to gain valuable services from the Community Foundation and to accept donations and bequests from a caring community.
Name Your Own Fund
Simplify your charitable giving, have greater impact and gain valuable tax advantages by creating a donor advised fund. You choose your level of involvement by utilizing our granting services and expertise, or recommend the specific nonprofit you want to benefit. We do the work. You get the credit! In many ways, it’s like having your own foundation – only more affordable and with greater tax benefits. Name the fund after a loved one, your family or yourself.
Secure the Future
Endowments are a powerful means of ensuring a bright future for the community you call home. They are collective nest eggs that provide an annual stream of revenue to fund local charitable projects or help sustain important charities. They can transform a community’s future by serving as sustainable resources for many future generations. Create a new endowed fund with the name of your choosing. Or, join with others to contribute to an established endowment fund. Your gift will continue to benefit others for many future generations.
